ไทยประสานมือกลุ่มประเทศอาเซียน จัดงานแฟชั่นและเครื่องหนังระดับนานาชาติ
BIFF & BIL 2009 และ ASEAN Fashion Plus
สร้างภาพลักษณ์อาเซียนเป็นแหล่งทองของอุตสาหกรรมแฟชั่นและเครื่องหนังโลก
กรมส่งเสริมการส่งออก กระทรวงพาณิชย์ ระดมผู้ประกอบการอาเซียนผนึกกำลัง อวดศักยภาพอุตสาหกรรมแฟชั่น และเครื่องหนังระดับนานาชาติ จัดงานแสดงสินค้าแฟชั่นและเครื่องหนัง BIFF & BIL 2009 และ ASEAN Fashion Plus ขานรับสัญญาณเชิงบวก ที่ชี้ดัชนีมูลค่าส่งออกโดยรวมของอุตสาหกรรมทะยานขึ้นกว่า 620,000 ล้านบาทในปีนี้
งานแสดงสินค้าแฟชั่น และงานแสดงสินค้าเครื่องหนัง หรืองาน Bangkok International Fashion Fair and Bangkok International Leather Fair (BIFF & BIL) ถือเป็นงานแสดงสินค้าระดับนานาชาติของไทย ที่จัดขึ้น อย่างต่อเนื่องมายาวนานกว่า 24 ปี โดยงาน BIFF & BIL 2009 ในปีนี้กรมส่งเสริมการส่งออก และหน่วยงาน ภาครัฐ และเอกชนที่เกี่ยวข้องในอุตสาหกรรมแฟชั่น และเครื่องหนังไทยได้ผนึกกำลังกับ ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน จัดงาน ASEAN Fashion Plus ภายใต้แนวคิด Fashion Full Stop เพื่อตอบสนองความสนใจ และความต้องการ ในธุรกิจแฟชั่นและเครื่องหนัง สนับสนุน และส่งเสริมศักยภาพสินค้าแฟชั่นของไทย และประเทศอาเซียน ให้เป็นที่ รู้จักไปทั่วโลก อีกทั้งยังตอกย้ำบทบาทความเป็นศูนย์กลาง ของอุตสาหกรรมแฟชั่นอาเซียน และไทยในระดับ ภูมิภาคอย่างเต็มภาคภูมิ
โอกาสนี้นางพรทิวา นาคาศัย รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงพาณิชย์ ได้ให้เกียรติเป็นประธาน ในพิธีเปิดพร้อมต้อนรับ เลขาธิการอาเซียน และคณะรัฐมนตรีเศรษฐกิจอาเซียน ทั้ง 9 ประเทศ และร่วมประชุมรัฐมนตรีเศรษฐกิจอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 41 ซึ่งเป็นการหารือระหว่างภาครัฐ และเอกชนอาเซียน เพื่อกำหนดทิศทางอุตสาหกรรม แฟชั่นอาเซียน ร่วมกัน อย่างเป็นทางการในวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 13 สิงหาคม 2552 ณ ศูนย์แสดงสินค้า และการประชุมอิมแพค เมืองทองธานี

Thailand and ASEAN joins forces to make fashion industry a gold mine through
BIFF & BIL 2009 and ASEAN Fashion Plus
The Royal Thai Government’s Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, is mobilising ASEAN operators to showcase their business strength at BIFF & BIL 2009 in the wake of Thailand’s growing export in the fashion industry which will reach 620,000-million-baht this year.
The Bangkok International Fashion Fair & Bangkok International Leather Fair 2009 (BIFF & BIL 2009) will highlight ASEAN unity through the jointly organised “ASEAN Fashion Plus” under the “Fashion Full Stop” theme.
For over 24 years that BIFF & BIL has become one of the most important international trade fairs in this region. It aims at being a one-stop center for people in the fashion and leather industry, promoting Thai and ASEAN presence in the global fashion market, and making Thailand and ASEAN the fashion hub in this part of the world.
Commerce Minister Porntiva Nakasai graciously presides over to mark the official opening of BIFF & BIL 2009 and ASEAN Fashion Plus on Aug 13, 2009, at Impact, Muang Thong Thani.
Distinguished economic ministers from ASEAN member countries who are in Thailand for the 41st Economic Ministers Meeting will also participate in the opening ceremony. They will later join a meeting to map out the directions of ASEAN fashion industry together.
“ASEAN has a very strong global potential,” said Commerce Minister Porntiva Nakasai. “We’re distinct in our comprehensive supply from downstream to upstream industry, which shows in our combined export at US$ 850,000-million. This strength is also true in our fashion and leather industry which has increasingly gained global recognition.”
