ELLE Magazine, Thailand’s leading international women’s fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine, and organizer of ELLE Fashion Week, joins hands with CentralWorld, the largest lifestyle shopping complex in SE Asia, to launch ELLE Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2007 at a press conference at CentralWorld on September 25, 2007 at the Forum Zone of CentralWorld. ELLE Fashion Week 2007 Autumn/Winter at CentralWorld
Bangkok welcomes the year-end’s biggest fashion event, with the announcement of ELLE magazine’s annual ELLE Fashion Week 2007 Autumn/Winter at CentralWorld. Created to support the talents of Thai designers as a once a year event, ELLE Magazine, Thailand’s leading fashion magazine and organiser of ELLE Fashion Week, has evolved ELLE Fashion Week to match the international fashion industry and therefore creating a centre stage for the Thai fashion industry to showcase their work twice a year according to he international fashion seasons. With the partnership of CentralWorld, and official sponsors Nokia, Bobbi Brown, Bangkok Post, and Cointreau, ELLE Magazine announces the launch of the ELLE’s 2nd fashion event of the year, ELLE Fashion Week 2007 Autumn/Winter at CentralWorld, ready to launch each designer’s brand new Autumn/Winter collections onto the market.
“As you can see, this is the first year that we’ve had two ELLE Fashion Weeks,” comments ELLE Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Kullawit Laosuksri. “We decided to do it because we think it’s time for Thai designers to go forward and make themselves heard in the international markets, in order to do so, they have to start producing collections according to the world’s fashion seasons. In this Autumn/Winter event, as many are expecting, the event scale will be a lot bigger. I believe each designer, each brand will bring out their best for this event. And most importantly, in the opening night, H.R.H. Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana has given us a chance to showcase her collection as the ‘show opener’. I think this ELLE Fashion Week 2007 Autumn/Winter at CentralWorld is definitely something not to be missed.”
The second ELLE Fashion Week of the year will be held from 16-21 October 2007 under the name ‘ELLE Fashion Week 2007 Autumn/Winter at CentralWorld’. Collections to be shown will be from many renowned and up-and-coming designers such as Sirivannavari / Kai / Pisit / Metta / Pichita / Headquarter / Zenithorial /Theatre / Issue / 27 Friday / T-ra / Playhound by Greyhound / Senada Theory / Sretsis / Disaya / Munchu’s / Kloset red carpet / CPS Chaps / and the works by 3 young designers; Seksarit Thanaprasittikul / Tipayaphong Poosanaphong / Atirotj Rojratanawalee with Saran Yenpanya. The young designers will be sponsored by Nokia for the 6th successive year. A sneak preview of each designer’s Autumn/Winter collection was seen at the press conference at CentralWorld.
